The Waiting Game

Some tips to help you perfect the waiting game:

One of the lessons a cancer diagnosis brings is that of patience.

You wait for the biopsy results. You wait for a diagnosis. Then you wait for the suggested treatment, and then you wait for the treatment response.

Then, it’s time to wait for your body to recover from the treatment.

It can feel as though waiting is the one thing that remains consistent throughout the entire cancer journey. So, hold onto your hat and try to perfect the art of patience because acceptance makes life a whole lot easier.

Here are some tips to help you perfect the waiting game:

Surround yourself with the people who love and support you.

Make sure you have some time out for yourself to relax and do the things you enjoy.

Allow yourself to acknowledge and process your feelings.

Get as much fresh air and exercise as possible.

Practice mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing, visualization, yoga, and meditation.

Do your best to remain positive, and keep reminding yourself, you are so much stronger than you think!
