When we can’t control something or make sense of what’s happening, it is natural to feel frustrated and angry.
Sometimes, the anger may change to feelings of intense sadness and a sense of being overwhelmed. Grief.
So how can you tell the difference?
Unlike anger, which may last a couple of minutes, grief is a process that may last a long time. Grief is also a very private feeling, whereas when one is angry, one may lash out, expressing anger.
Noticing the difference between anger and grief may allow you to express how you are feeling, get help and support from loved ones and help you navigate which emotions you need to work on to help you reach the next level of healing. Acceptance.
